The Epiphone basses from the early to mid 1960s are really cool & some models actually play better than the Gibsons of that era. The coolest Epi bass ever was the Epiphone Embassy bass, combining Thunderbird electronics in a more traditional style body. Today, most Epi basses come from Asia; these vary considerably so we usually need a tracing to make a part that will fit your guitar without drilling, etc.
