This page features pickguards for Fernandes Guitars & Basses. Fernandes was founded in Japan in 1969, building flamenco guitars, but quickly expanded into electrics. Renown as one of the original great playing Fender-style guitars coming out of Japan in the 1980s & 1990s, these Fernandes Strats & Teles played better than their American counterparts of that time. Fernandes also markets Gibson style guitars under the Burney logo; again fantastic-playing knockoffs. Their "crafted in Japan" guitars are the ones to watch for.
