This page features pickguards for Gibson's double cutaway hollowbody guitars. Originally introduced in the late 1950s, this guitar bridged the gap between traditional archtop hollowbody & solidbody electric, with it's solid center block, which reduced feedback & tightened up the sound. So much has been said about these guitars that it is hard to add anything here except to say that they sound great, resonant & warm with the scream of a solidbody, & look super cool in any musical setting. They have been used by many influential players from BB, Chuck to Keith to Elvin, Eric, there are just too many to list here! Once you play a really good one, you'll know why...

 

Generally these mount to the body with a screw by the neck & a bracket that attaches to the side of the body. There are the flat brackets & the threaded-rod brackets. We have both kinds available in chrome only for $12.50 including screws, block, etc; just ask when you place your order!
