This page features pickguards for Gibson Melody Maker  Guitars. The Melody Maker was introduced in 1959 and was Gibson' best selling guitar in the company's "golden era". The ones from the early 1960s have that fantastic neck shape, and are super lightweight Honduras Mahogany. The pickups are a little weak, but you have a pedal for that, right? Anyway, in the late 1960s Gibson changed the body shape to be more like an SG.

If you can find a trashed one, these can be made into wonderful work guitars with some juicy pickups; just ask Pat Travers or Joan Jett! The pickguards can be cut to fit most humbuckers, P-90, or Strat-size pickups while retaining the original look. Ask us if you want your guard customized!
